Hello again friends,
Sorry for the long gap since my last post, I had a cold last week. But it has passed and I am ready to go!
I had a request to make some kneeling pillows for an upcoming wedding. She wanted forest green, one with a few flowers and one plain one for her fiance. I was super excited to make something that will actually be used in the wedding! I also used a different technique for creating the flowers. Since the fabric is polyester based, burning the edges causes it to ruffle and curl in. I think this makes for a more realistic and elegant look.
These pillows are made with a textured satin blend fabric and lined with thick batting. It's nice to have the texture on the fabric, normally satin is way to slippery and will wrinkle any ways after kneeling on them. These pillows are so soft! I tested them out a couple times to make sure I had enough stuffing in them, but not too much.
Please note: These pillows are forest green and incredibly shiny, so they show up blue in the photos.
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend!
