Continuing with side projects until the shop is up, I created a canvas bag. I LOVE canvas bags! And this one is perfect for carrying beach goodies or farmers market finds! This was the first one I created from my own pattern. I generally do stuffed animals and pillows.
I was excited to work outside of my typical box, and the final product is successful! The sheep was drawn up first and then I created the felt applique. I almost went over the top with designy stitching and flowers, but I want this bag to be used to its full potential. Sometimes with too much embellishment, items become too precious and just sit in the closet.
